Ant Problem?
Atlanta Ant Exterminators
Ants are what we commonly refer to as a "nuisance pest." They are very annoying and often thought to be harmless. While termites can damage your home and mosquitoes and bed bugs leave you with itchy bites, direct run-ins with ants are not a common problem. However, fire ants can cause painful bites that can be deadly to those with allergies. Carpenter ants can cause structural damage by burrowing their nests into wood structures. Furthermore, sugar ants, well, they are just unrelenting home invaders.
Fire Ant Extermination
In the Atlanta area, fire ants can be a terrible nuisance in your yard. They create a large mound that destroys a patch of your lawn. When you think you got rid of fire ants, you find they had just moved to a different part of the yard going unnoticed until they finally pop a new mound up weeks later.
While we hate large fire ant mounds, we may just hate invisible mounds even more. There is nothing worse than the sudden realization of disturbing a fire ant nest. While one bite would be bad enough, fire ants swarm first, and then all bite at once. Ouch!
Carpenter Ant Removal
Carpenter ants are a common home-invading pest. They like to make nests in your wood structures and can be found foraging for food in your kitchen. Getting rid of a carpenter ant problem is important to tackle with haste. If not caught early, they will multiply quickly and make it more difficult to combat the infestation.
Carpenter ants are larger shiny black ants. They are usually quite large when compared to other ants (1/4 – 1/2 inch.) While their name might make you think they consume wood, just like termites, that is false. Carpenter ants merely destroy the wood by making their nests within it.
Sugar Ant Prevention
Commonly known as "sugar ants" in the Atlanta market," Pharaoh ants easily make their way into your house and in mass. You'll often find them running in on a particularly rainy day or two. Once in, they will be quickly attracted to and swarm any source of food. Sometimes they make their way under walls to the pantry, onto the counter where something sweet attracts them, or even into your pet's food bowl.
Pharaoh ants' tiny size makes it extremely difficult to keep them out of the house. They can quite literally walk right in under walls and doors. While they are one of the most difficult ants to exterminate, sugar ants don't stand a chance against the team at Scientifically Advanced Pest Control.
